Month: March 2022

MONDAY is here and so is Spring!

Today is Independence Day in Namibia, a public holiday. The holiday celebrates Namibia’s independence from South Africa on this day in 1990. Sam Nujoma was sworn in as the first President of Namibia at a ceremony attended by Nelson Mandela of South Africa, who had only been released from prison the month before.

A match made in heaven:

Doormats for introverts

Live. Laugh. Leave.
Funny doormat.
Worst wishes. Coldest regards.
Funny door mat.
Rude doormat.
Don't stop be leaving.
Rude door mat.

Enough of that, time for some Barkaloungers!

Happy Monday!!

I didn’t find any good birthdays today so here is Carole King with a great song.

Those Brits!

The ‘Proms’ began in 1895 with the BBC supporting and broadcasting them from 1927. The ‘Last Night of the Proms’ is a rather boisterous and patriotic event attracting tens of thousands both inside and outside the hall and with plenty of flag waving and patriotic music. Among the music is ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ which is set to the ‘trio’ theme of Edward Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance Pomp and Circumstance March No. 1. So here, in all it’s delightful craziness and fun is the performance from 2012. Sit back and enjoy!!

That Day!

I was traveling on St. Patrick’s Day and didn’t get a chance to post. So, belatedly, here is some good music for that day. Have a few drinks this evening, imagine you’re in a pub and sing along with these!

Not all who wander are lost. Some are just looking for the scissors. I swear I just had them, right here!

I checked Kelley Blue Book today for my car’s value and it asked if the tank was empty or full.
