WED-NES-DAY

Think back to 1958 when The Jamies, led by siblings Tom and Serena Jameson in Boston released this hit song, which sounds to me like it’s based on an Elizabethan madrigal.

Creativity is not everything. These are creative but awful.

Ugly design is ugly.
Ugly design is ugly.
Ugly design is ugly.
Ugly design is ugly.
Ugly design is ugly.
Ugly design is ugly.

a bit of history

Bada Bing!

I don’t do drugs and I don’t drink. At my age, I get the same effects by standing up too fast.

Sitting in a recliner, naked, watching a movie, eating ice cream and Doritos, minding my own business, and Walmart calls the cops.

Lesson of the day:If someone calls you from a private number, respect their privacy & don’t answer.

The older I get the tighter companies are putting the lids on jars.

FYI: Your phone won’t autocorrect when you’re in caps lock because it assumes you’re angry and doesn’t want to get involved.

What’s the opposite of isolate?Yousoearly!

Today is the birthday, in 1945, of Little Eva. As a teenager she worked as a maid and babysitter for songwriters Carole King and Gerry Goffin. They knew she could sing and wrote this song for her. The song reached number one in the United States in 1962.

Bolero!

Another flash mob orchestral performance today. In this one, Opera North in UK is giving a great performance of Bolero at a large shopping mall in the center of Leeds. I love the performance and especially the trombone guy…

Rondo alla Turca

Just a short post to share this wonderful flash mob video by the Azerbaijan Student Network in Prague. Mozart, who spent considerable time in Prague, would have loved this. The interesting instrument is called a ‘Tar’ and is from the Iran/Caucasus region. Enjoy this short but wonderful video.
